The team of Ecorus Home, located in Amsterdam, focuses on social housing cooperations, where its mission is to completely unburden its customers and make a maximum contribution to the energy transition. We make the difference in this industry by concluding framework contracts with housing cooperatives, taking care of the advice of individual tenants and managing the solar power installations. Ecorus Home is a true scale-up organization, dynamic, innovative and increasingly an IT-driven organization.

Are you ready to make the difference as a Data engineer?

Who are you?

You have at least 3 years of experience with setting up data pipelines and ingest data from databases and external API's in a professional environment. Experience with Python is a must. Next to this you recognize yourself in the following profile:

• Experience managing datasets and -pipelines using cloud infrastructure
• Some experience in Python API development (e.g. set up an API to expose the data)

Our perfect candidate has (or the motivation to learn):

• Experience in Postgres with advanced knowledge of SQL and database performance (indexes, storage techniques, etc.)
• Experience in managing IoT data 
• The desire to work in a company that contributes to a more sustainable and social environment.

• Salary based on experience and knowledge with a maximum of € 5500
• Yearly bonus based on personal- and company goals

What do we expect from a Data engineer?

We developed an IoT monitoring solution for residential PV systems which connects almost 70.000 households.

The upcoming challenges are:

• Scaling the IoT monitoring solution to support the growth of the company 
• Support the merge with maintenance company Solarminds and its daily activities
• Automating the monitoring of the PV systems, minimizing manual work

In the upcoming years IoT will become an even more central part of Ecorus Home. We have big plans for our monitoring solution. This is why we are looking to expand out IT team with your possible new job!

As a Data engineer your daily activities will consist of:

• Setting up and designing data pipelines
• Doing code reviews with fellow developers
• Learning about new tools and frameworks that can improve our digital landscape
